Lord, today I pray for local government leadership, whether mayors, city council, zoning commission, county officials, or any in decision-making roles in our cities and counties. Good government begins at the local level. May these people be filled with wisdom, discernment, integrity, and honesty as they serve our communities. Help them to see the big picture, rather than making decisions based on personal desires or enrichment of a few. Help them to truly want the very best for the people of their region. Strengthen and unify our communities at the grassroots and all the way up to the nation's capital.
